R. Scott Weide
Mr. Weide has worked exclusively since 1991 as an intellectual property attorney. Mr. Weide started his career at Knobbe, Martens, Olson & Bear, one of the largest intellectual property firms in the United States. In 1999, Mr. Weide started what would become the law firm of Weide & Miller, Ltd., in Las Vegas.
Chad W. Miller
Mr. Miller has experience in a broad array of intellectual property matters including patent and trademark prosecution and related litigation. Mr. Miller practiced exclusively in the field of intellectual property for numerous years at several large firms in California, including Knobbe Martins, Olson and Bear, before moving to Nevada. Because of Mr. Miller’s technical background and degree in Electrical Engineering, he is well suited to practice in the field of intellectual property.
F. Chris Austin
Mr. Austin is a highly experienced commercial litigator and intellectual property lawyer with over 20 years of trial experience focused on helping businesses and individuals defend and protect their patents, trademarks, copyrights and trade secrets. He started his career in the courtroom as a Judge Advocate for the United States Airforce, represented S&P 500 companies at Greenberg Traurig, LLP, for nearly a decade, before joining Weide & Miller, where Mr. Austin has continued to excel in emergency actions to stop infringement and seize infringing materials upon the commencement of an action—often resolving the matter. He has also defended clients from unfair infringement claims often brought by competitors seeking to improperly use the court to limit competition.
John Powers
Mr. Powers has practiced intellectual property law exclusively for the last nine years, eight of which was with two large law firms in Pittsburgh, PA. In this time, he has drafted from scratch over 250 patent applications, and has worked to secure quality patent protection in the U.S. and abroad for clients in the vast majority of those cases.
A. Gregory Gibbs
Mr. Greg Gibbs has extensive experience in intellectual property matters, including preparation and prosecution in securing IP rights, and litigation experience in enforcing IP rights. Mr. Gibbs’ experience extends across trademark, copyright, trade secret and patent work in a wide range of subject matter areas and technical fields.
